Member instruments
Each member of a collection can have an instrument. Once it's set, the collection knows which parts you play, so when you open a program to download your scores the instrument filter is pre-filled for you — no more picking it from the list every time.
Your instrument is set per collection: you might play the violin in one ensemble and be the librarian in another, so each membership keeps its own value.
Set your own instrument
Anyone with the member role or above can set their own instrument.
Open Settings → Instrument
Go to Settings → Instrument from the sidebar (or use the Instrument link in the collection navigation).
Pick or type your instrument
Search the instruments already used in this collection and select one, or type your own if it isn't listed yet. Picking an existing value guarantees the export filter will match your parts exactly.
Save
Your instrument is saved immediately. Use Clear to remove it.
Assign instruments to members (admins)
Admins and owners can set the instrument for anyone in the collection, including viewers who can't set their own.
Open Settings → Members
Go to Settings → Members. Each member row has an Instrument control next to their role.
Choose an instrument
Pick from the instruments used in this collection, or type a new one. The change saves immediately, and shows a “—” when no instrument is set.
How the export pre-fill works
When you open a program's Scores page, the instrument filter is pre-filled with your instrument if at least one score in that program matches it. If nothing matches, the filter is left empty so you still see every score rather than a blank list.
The pre-fill is only a starting point — clear or change the filter at any time to browse other parts. A short hint shows which instrument was applied.
