Split a score

A single PDF often contains several parts. Splitting lets you carve a large PDF into individual, named parts that musicians can find and download on their own.

Open the score

From a work, open the score you want to split.

Choose Split

Open the split tool. Define where each part begins and ends by page range.

Name each part

Give every part a clear name (e.g. Violin I, Cello). Clear names make the parts easy to identify later.

Save the parts

Confirm to generate the individual parts. They attach to the same work alongside the original.

Double-check page ranges before saving — overlapping or off-by-one ranges are the most common cause of misassembled parts.
